The Lexile Framework for Listening measures students’ listening skills using audio passages and comprehension questions that assess the students’ ability to identify the main idea, supporting details, and make inferences.
This resource is a tool for conducting observations to assess and improve teacher-student and student-student interactions, with a focus on open-ended questions and extended conversations to promote the development of student listening comprehension skill.
In this activity students are presented with picture cards and sentence cards. Students take turns matching the corresponding picture cards with sentence strips.
