Keys to the Main Idea

In this activity, students will select a character from a text and use their knowledge of the character to respond to questions.

In this activity students will identify cause and effect relationships throughout a read aloud. This activity can be modified so students are only engaging with oral text responding through discussion.

During this activity, students brainstorm what they know about a given topic. After engaging with text, they revisit their brainstorm and identify words, ideas, etc. that were used in the text.
